Mentorship agreement
This agreement is between Jackson Riley ("Mentor", "I") and the person buying a seat ("Student", "you"). It covers both the 1:1 program and the Initiative Group program. Section 17 lists what's different for Group seats. By paying at checkout after being shown a link to this agreement, you accept it and agree it counts as your electronic signature. If you don't agree, don't pay.
1. What the program is
Initiative is a 12-week, 1:1 education program on reading NQ and ES futures with Auction Market Theory and orderflow, and on trading from a written plan.
It runs in three phases:
- Map (weeks 1 to 4): zones, gaps, a one-line bias, 2 to 4 edges.
- Entry (weeks 5 to 8): orderflow at the edge, the 5-step entry filter, stops, sizing.
- Record (weeks 9 to 12): logging, weekly review, one rule change at a time.
2. What you get
- One 1:1 call per week, 60 minutes, by video.
- Discord access. I answer on school days after 11 AM ET and reply within one school day. School breaks are announced in Discord at least 7 days ahead.
- I review your pre-open plan and your after-close analysis each trading day you send them.
- The framework: framework doc, AMT walkthrough, premarket checklist and analysis template.
The 12 weeks start at your first call, or 14 days after you pay, whichever comes first. Calls you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice are not made up. Calls I cancel are always rescheduled.
3. What you commit to
- The premarket checklist each night before a session you plan to trade.
- A written plan sent before 9:25 AM ET on days you trade.
- The analysis template after each session, no-trade days included.
- Showing up to the weekly call.
4. Checkpoints
Each phase ends with a checkpoint:
- Map: you build tomorrow's plan alone in 15 minutes.
- Entry: every entry has a named trigger and is sized by zone grade.
- Record: 20 reviewed sessions and your own written plan.
If you miss a checkpoint, you repeat that phase's work before moving on. Repeating happens inside the 12 weeks. Repeating is free. The program still ends at week 12 and is not extended, except under the Phase 1 guarantee below.
Phase 1 guarantee: if you miss the week 4 checkpoint, you repeat Phase 1 first, free and inside the 12 weeks. If you complete every Phase 1 task through the end of that repeat (a checklist and plan sent for every session you trade, an analysis sheet after every session, and every weekly call attended) and still can't build tomorrow's plan alone in 15 minutes by the end of week 8, I'll coach you on Phase 1 for free for up to 4 extra weeks after week 12 (one weekly call and plan reviews). Your logs and our call record decide whether every task was done. This guarantee is coaching time, not a refund.
5. Price and payment
| Option | Price |
|---|---|
| Founding seat (first 2 students only) | $750, paid once |
| Pay in full | $2,500, paid once |
| Payment plan | 3 payments of $1,000, one every 30 days |
All payments go through Whop. Your seat is for you only and can't be transferred or resold. Alumni coaching after week 12 is a separate subscription and isn't included in this price. It's open only to students who finish all 12 weeks: $300 a month, cancel anytime, and canceling takes effect at the end of the month already paid. Founding students pay $150 a month and cohort 1 students $250 a month for as long as the subscription runs without a gap. If it lapses and you rejoin later, the price is $300. It includes two 30-minute calls a month, plan feedback 2 days a week, one rule audit a month and the alumni Discord channel. Sections 7, 8 and 9 apply to it too.
Payment plan: each payment unlocks the next phase. If a payment fails and isn't fixed within 7 days, your access pauses until it is. If it is still unpaid after 14 days, your seat ends and the remaining payments are not owed.
6. Refunds
Every sale is final. There are no refunds, partial refunds or credits for reasons on your side, including if you stop attending, change your mind, miss checkpoints or have trading losses.
One exception: if I end the program early for a reason that isn't your breach of this agreement, or I can't deliver calls and reviews for more than 2 weeks in a row, you get a prorated refund for the weeks not delivered.
If you think I haven't delivered what section 2 describes, tell me in writing first. I'll make it right with make-up calls or reviews within 14 days. If you open a payment dispute or chargeback for sessions that were delivered, I'll respond with the delivery record (call log, plan reviews and Discord history), and your access pauses while the dispute is open.
7. Education only. Not financial advice.
- This is education about a method. It is not investment, financial, tax or legal advice.
- I don't give signals, I don't tell you what to buy or sell, and I don't manage or trade your money or accounts.
- When I review your plans and trades, I'm checking them against the framework you're learning. Every trading decision is yours.
- I am not registered with the CFTC or NFA as a Commodity Trading Advisor, or with any other regulator.
8. No promises about results
Nothing in this program promises profit, income, payouts, passing a prop firm evaluation, or getting a funded account. Most traders lose money. Your results depend on you, your capital and the market. Any numbers used in teaching are illustrative only and are not a performance claim. The program is provided as described in section 2, with no other guarantees.
9. Risk disclosure
Futures trading carries substantial risk of loss and is not right for everyone. Leverage means you can lose more than you put in. Only trade money you can afford to lose. Past performance, mine or anyone's, does not predict future results.
About my own trading: I trade NQ futures on prop firm accounts. Many prop firm accounts, including many funded accounts, are simulated environments, and results there may not match trading live capital. I don't share P&L, and nothing I show is a claim about results.
10. Your account with a prop firm or broker
If you use a prop firm or broker, that is your choice and your agreement with them. I have no affiliation with, and receive no payment from, any prop firm or broker. If that ever changes, I'll tell you in writing before recommending one.
11. Materials, recordings and feedback
The framework, templates, videos and documents are for your personal use. You may keep copies of anything released to you, for personal use, after your seat ends. Don't resell, share or post them. Discord access ends when your seat ends.
Calls may be recorded only if we both agree, and recordings are for your review only.
Founding seat: you agree I may quote your honest feedback about the process, using your first name or initials only, unless you give written permission for more. I will never quote, share or imply your trading results.
12. Ending a seat early
I can end your seat by written notice (email or Discord DM) that states the reason, if you share or resell the materials, harass me or other members, or use the program to sell signals or trading services. For any other breach of this agreement, I'll give you one written warning first. A seat ended under this section is not refunded.
You can stop at any time by telling me in writing. Under section 6, stopping on your side is not refunded.
13. Limits
To the extent the law allows, my total liability to you for anything related to this program is limited to what you paid. I'm not responsible for trading losses, prop firm fees, platform or data costs, or lost profits.
14. Privacy
I keep your application, plans and logs private and use them only to run the program. I don't sell them. They are shared only with the tools that run the program (Whop, Discord, Cal.com, Formspree and Google), under those services' own terms.
15. Disputes
If something goes wrong, tell me in writing first, and we'll both try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. After that, either of us may bring a claim in small claims court, or in the state courts of the county in West Virginia where I live. This agreement is governed by West Virginia law.
16. Other terms
- Notices: email to the address you used at checkout, or to me at [email protected], counts as written notice. So does a Discord DM.
- Minimum age: you must be 18 or older to buy a seat.
- Changes: if I update this agreement, the new version applies only to seats bought after the update.
- Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13 and 15 still apply after your seat ends.
- If any part of this agreement can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- This is the full agreement between us. Changes must be in writing.
17. Initiative Group seats
If you bought a Group seat, sections 1 to 16 apply with these changes:
- Length and dates. Group runs 8 weeks on fixed dates, from the cohort's opening day to its closing day, as listed on the checkout page. It doesn't start at a first call and isn't extended.
- What you get instead of section 2. One live group class a week (75 minutes, recorded), my pre-open plan with the reasoning in the cohort channel on trading days, written feedback on the plans you post on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, an accountability pod, and the tools listed in section 2. There are no 1:1 calls.
- Price. $1,000, or 2 payments of $550, 30 days apart. If the second payment fails and isn't fixed within 7 days, your access pauses until it is. If it's still unpaid after 14 days, your seat ends and nothing more is owed.
- Missed classes. Classes are recorded. A missed class isn't repeated live.
- Checkpoints. The same three checkpoints as 1:1, compressed into 8 weeks. The Phase 1 guarantee in section 4 doesn't apply to Group seats.
- Refunds. Section 6 applies. If I cancel the cohort or can't run classes for more than 2 weeks in a row, you get a prorated refund for the weeks not delivered.
- Feedback. My feedback is about your process: whether you followed your written plan, named a trigger and sized by grade. I won't tell you to enter, hold or exit a trade.
- Upgrade credit. If you buy a 1:1 seat within 30 days of your cohort closing, what you paid for Group is credited toward it.
